Camp overview
Strengthen your soccer skills and knowledge and fire up your soccer passion in this fun program that emphasizes learning through playing! The result of this camp will be improved fundamentals, refined technique, and an increased love of the game. Individual players will receive instruction and coaching geared to their own specific needs. The technical focus of the camp will be on refining and developing each player’s fundamentals: ball contact, receiving, dribbling, passing, shooting, field vision and decision-making. There will also be specific training for goalies from a goalie coach. The boys will be broken up into two different mini-camps: Ages 6-9 (JV) and ages 10-14 (Varsity) Coaches from the Heights Soccer Program, including a goalie coach, will direct all technical sessions. Student-Athletes from The Heights Varsity team will serve as Coaches to the various teams in the camp. Staff Colin Gleason, Head Varsity Soccer Coach at The Heights School, directs the camp. Contact Colin Gleason at The Heights School, cgleason@heights.edu Notes: Campers should have cleats, soccer ball, water-bottle, indoor shoes, and shin-guards. Campers should bring a bag lunch and drink from home.
