Winter Basketball 5-6 years old

Develop skills, build confidence, and have fun this winter with YMCA Youth Basketball! Our co-ed league is open to children ages 3-10 and is divided into the following age groups: 4U (ages 3-4), 6U (ages 5-6), 8U (ages 7-8), and 10U (ages 9-10). Players are placed by age group and may play up, but not down. If 10U Girl/Boy divisions do not build full rosters the division will combine as co-ed. Each team practices once per week at the Hood County YMCA, with evening practice times determined after registration. Practices typically last 35 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the age group. Practices begin approximately two weeks before the first scheduled game. Games are played on Saturdays, beginning at 8:00 AM, with game times ranging from 30-60 minutes. The season includes a break during the local school district's winter break. Registration includes a YMCA team jersey.
