For over forty years, the Nike Five Star Cross Country Camp has been helping young runners grow — not just as athletes, but as people. Our coaches work with runners at every level, focusing on the fundamentals that lead to long-term success: proper training, nutrition, mental preparation, sleep, strength, and recovery. Beyond the workouts, campers leave with real friendships, a stronger connection to the running community, and a deeper love for the sport. One week at camp plants seeds that last a lifetime. Located in the southern Catskill Mountains, on the campus of Iroquois Springs, runners run over country roads and have the opportunity to train at a nearby state park with awesome running trails. This camp is built for young runners who want to improve — whether they're just finding their stride or already competing at a high level. With over 40 years of experience, this program is designed for middle and high school athletes who are serious about cross country and distance running but also want to have fun and be part of a real running community.What sets Five Star apart is the whole-athlete approach. We don't just run — we teach campers how to train smarter. That means covering nutrition, mental preparation, sleep, strength work, and recovery alongside the daily workouts. Our experienced coaching staff meets athletes where they are and helps every runner develop at their own pace in a supportive, encouraging environment.The camp experience is intentionally active and engaging.
